Song Lyrics for worship service

Worthy Of Worship
Worthy of worship, worthy of praise, worthy of honor and glory
Worthy of all the glad songs we can sing, Worthy of all of the offerings we bring
Chorus
You are worthy, Father, Creator, You are worthy, Savior, Sustainer,
You are worthy, Worthy and Wonderful, Worthy of Honor and Praise.
Worthy of reverence, worthy of fear, Worthy of love and devotion,
Worthy of bowing and bending of knees, Worthy of all this and added to these...
Chorus
Almighty Father, Master and Lord, King of all Kings and Redeemer,
Wonderful Counselor, Comforter, Friend, Saviour and Source of our life without end.
How Great Thou Art
O Lord my God! When I in awesome wonder Consider all the worlds Thy hands have made,
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder, Thy pow’r thro’ out the universe displayed.
Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to Thee; How great Thou art, how great Thou art!
Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee; How great Thou art, how great Thou art!
When thro’ the woods and forest glades I wander, And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees;
When I look down from lofty mountains grandeur, And hear the brook and feel the gentle breeze;
Chorus
And when I think that God, His Son not sparing, Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in;
That on the cross, my burden gladly bearing, He bled and died to take away my sin.
Chorus
When Christ shall come with shout of acclamation, And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart! Then I shall bow in humble adoration, and there proclaim, my God how great Thou art!
Chorus
Goodness of God
I love You, Lord
For Your mercy never fails me
All my days, I've been held in Your hands
From the moment that I wake up
Until I lay my head
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God
(Chorus)
And all my life You have been faithful
And all my life You have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God
I love Your voice
You have led me through the fire
In the darkest night
You are close like no other
I've known You as a Father
I've known You as a Friend
And I have lived in the goodness of God
Chorus
'Cause Your goodness is running after
It's running after me
Your goodness is running after
It's running after me
With my life laid down
I'm surrendered now
I give You everything
'Cause Your goodness is running after
It's running after me
'Cause Your goodness is running after
It's running after me
Your goodness is running after
It's running after me
With my life laid down
I'm surrendered now
I give You everything
'Cause Your goodness is running after
It keeps running after me
And all my life You have been faithful
And all my life You have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able
Oh, I'm gonna sing of the goodness of God
'Cause all my life You have been faithful
And all my life You have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able
Oh, I'm gonna sing of the goodness of God
Oh, I'm gonna sing of the goodness of God
God, You’re so good,
God, You’re so good,
God, You’re so good, You’re so good to me.
Be Strong in the Lord
Be strong in the Lord and be of good courage;
Your mighty Defender is always the same.
Mount up with wings, as the eagle ascending;
Vict’ry is sure when you call on His name.
Chorus
Be strong, be strong, be strong in the Lord;
And be of good courage for He is your guide.
Be strong, be strong, be strong in the Lord;
And rejoice for the vict’ry is yours.
And place your defense in His unfailing care.
Trust Him for He will be with you in battle,
Lighting your path to avoid every snare.
Chorus
Be strong in the Lord and be of good courage;
Your mighty Commander will vanquish the foe.
Fear not the battle for the vict’ry is always His.
He will protect you wherever you go.
Chorus

Scripture references

Exodus 9
16
But I have raised you up[a] for this very purpose, that I might show you my power and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.

Exodus 1
8
Then a new king, to whom Joseph meant nothing, came to power in Egypt.
 9 “Look,” he said to his people, “the Israelites have become far too numerous for us. 10 Come, we must deal shrewdly with them or they will become even more numerous and, if war breaks out, will join our enemies, fight against us and leave the country.”

Exodus 2
23
During that long period, the king of Egypt died. The Israelites groaned in their slavery and cried out, and their cry for help because of their slavery went up to God.

Exodus 7
19 The Lord said to Moses, “Tell Aaron, ‘Take your staff and stretch out your hand over the waters of Egypt—over the streams and canals, over the ponds and all the reservoirs—and they will turn to blood.’ Blood will be everywhere in Egypt, even in vessels[a] of wood and stone.”
20 Moses and Aaron did just as the Lord had commanded. He raised his staff in the presence of Pharaoh and his officials and struck the water of the Nile, and all the water was changed into blood. 21 The fish in the Nile died, and the river smelled so bad that the Egyptians could not drink its water. Blood was everywhere in Egypt.
22 But the Egyptian magicians did the same things by their secret arts, and Pharaoh’s heart became hard; he would not listen to Moses and Aaron, just as the Lord had said. 23 Instead, he turned and went into his palace, and did not take even this to heart. 24 And all the Egyptians dug along the Nile to get drinking water, because they could not drink the water of the river.

John 4
13
Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again,
 14 but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

Exodus 8
1 [a]Then the Lord said to Moses, “Go to Pharaoh and say to him, ‘This is what the Lord says: Let my people go, so that they may worship me.
 2 If you refuse to let them go, I will send a plague of frogs on your whole country. 3 The Nile will teem with frogs. They will come up into your palace and your bedroom and onto your bed, into the houses of your officials and on your people, and into your ovens and kneading troughs. 4 The frogs will come up on you and your people and all your officials.’”
5 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Tell Aaron, ‘Stretch out your hand with your staff over the streams and canals and ponds, and make frogs come up on the land of Egypt.’”
6 So Aaron stretched out his hand over the waters of Egypt, and the frogs came up and covered the land.

Isaiah 42
8
“I am the Lord; that is my name!

    I will not yield my glory to another
    or my praise to idols.

Exodus 8
16
Then the Lord said to Moses, “Tell Aaron, ‘Stretch out your staff and strike the dust of the ground,’ and throughout the land of Egypt the dust will become gnats.” 17 They did this, and when Aaron stretched out his hand with the staff and struck the dust of the ground, gnats came on people and animals. All the dust throughout the land of Egypt became gnats.
21 If you do not let my people go, I will send swarms of flies on you and your officials, on your people and into your houses. The houses of the Egyptians will be full of flies; even the ground will be covered with them.
22 “‘But on that day I will deal differently with the land of Goshen, where my people live; no swarms of flies will be there, so that you will know that I, the Lord, am in this land. 23 I will make a distinction[b] between my people and your people. This sign will occur tomorrow.’”

Exodus 9
2
If you refuse to let them go and continue to hold them back, 3 the hand of the Lord will bring a terrible plague on your livestock in the field—on your horses, donkeys and camels and on your cattle, sheep and goats. 4 But the Lord will make a distinction between the livestock of Israel and that of Egypt, so that no animal belonging to the Israelites will die.’” 5 The Lord set a time and said, “Tomorrow the Lord will do this in the land.” 6 And the next day the Lord did it: All the livestock of the Egyptians died, but not one animal belonging to the Israelites died.

9 It will become fine dust over the whole land of Egypt, and festering boils will break out on people and animals throughout the land.”

19 Give an order now to bring your livestock and everything you have in the field to a place of shelter, because the hail will fall on every person and animal that has not been brought in and is still out in the field, and they will die.’”
20 Those officials of Pharaoh who feared the word of the Lord hurried to bring their slaves and their livestock inside. 21 But those who ignored the word of the Lord left their slaves and livestock in the field.
27 Then Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron. “This time I have sinned,” he said to them. “The Lord is in the right, and I and my people are in the wrong. 28 Pray to the Lord, for we have had enough thunder and hail. I will let you go; you don’t have to stay any longer.”
30 But I know that you and your officials still do not fear the Lord God.”

Proverbs 18
10
The name of the Lord is a fortified tower;

    the righteous run to it and are safe.

Exodus 15

2

“The Lord is my strength and my defense[a];
    he has become my salvation.
He is my God, and I will praise him,
    my father’s God, and I will exalt him.
3
The Lord is a warrior;
    the Lord is his name.

13
In your unfailing love you will lead
    the people you have redeemed.
In your strength you will guide them
    to your holy dwelling.

Exodus 14:14
“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”
